Due to some confusion born from the [accidental] early release of the paperback version of The Path Chosen, I felt the need to share another post about its availability. My publisher sent several new releases to Amazon (among other places) that are/were due to be released on the 1st of April, the 11th of April, and the 21st of April. The Path Chosen was set to be released on the 21st. Due to a mishap of unknown sorts, the paperback version of The Path Chosen was released at the beginning of the month -- which I discovered when my American-based sister happened upon it on Amazon. I don't even know if my publisher is aware of this mishap, as she's presently attending a conference, and I haven't spoken to her about this matter. Anyway... Come the 21st of April, as scheduled, Desert Breeze Publishing will officially launch The Path Chosen -- and it will be released as an eBook, as well. And, yes, the paperback version is already on sale at Amazon -- as can be seen in the images of my four bright shining stars below. :) ~*~ To make sure you do not miss the eBook release, and other notifications, join me on Facebook: Donna Keevers Driver, author page, or... ~*~ MY PUBLISHER'S WEBSITE: TPC at DESERT BREEZE PUBLISHING. NOTE: You can purchase an ePub version on DBP's website come April 21 2016. ** You can find many great authors and novels there, too. Some for free. ~*~ The PAPERBACK version on AMAZON. "THE PATH CHOSEN" (The Kindle version will be released on Amazon on its due date.) ~*~ The Path Chosen on KOBO. ~*~ The Path Chosen is also available on iBooks. I'm not sure if it's to be posted anywhere else. I will let you know if it is. NOTE: If you do not have a Kindle, you can get a Kindle App from Amazon, free of charge, for your phone and/or computer, and read TPC, or any other Amazon eBook, immediately. And the ePub version can be downloaded straight from Desert Breeze Publishing to your computer -- no other electronic gadget needed. Chances are I've missed something, but... that's enough to remember for now, don't you think? :) I apologise for any, and all, inconvenience/s this mishap has caused. Please know it was not deliberate by any party involved. The first time I've seen my novel in someone's hands: The order in which I received them -- from left to right: 1. Jacky in Germany. 2. My sister Alyson in America. 3. Sandy in England. 4. Lynn in America. ~ and I am yet to see a copy here in Australia. :) The Path Chosen is stretching all over the world... :D I love it! and my friends!! :D xx - and no, that's not me in the first photo... although several people thought it was me -- a couple of my children included. Even I had to do a double take. :D But Jacky is a real person, as you can see on her artist website: Jacky Helmreich
~ * ~ ~ share your photo ~ I would LOVE to add you to my photo page for "TPC's Reader-Friend photos" -- here and on Facebook. So find me on Facebook and share a photo of you with The Path Chosen, so I can add it here. Please. :D ~ and keep an eye out for giveaways ~ ~ everyone who sends me a photo of themself with my novel stands to win something at the end of every couple of months (details to be finalised) ~ ~ * ~
My little sister, Alyson (who lives in America; I'm in Australia), came across the paperback version of my debut novel The Path Chosen on Amazon US this week. It's dated April 1, 2016, but it wasn't supposed to be out until April 21. :0 Oops. ;) So, here's the link: *Amazon America: The Path Chosen. A beautiful Facebook friend (Jacky H) found TPC on these two sites, also: *Amazon Germany: The Path Chosen. *Amazon United Kingdom: The Path Chosen. The Path Chosen will be available as an eBook come April 21 2016 -- American time. As soon as I learn that it's available, I'll post links to it here on my website, on my Facebook author page, and on "The Path Chosen (only)" Facebook page. This is my first time being published, so I don't know what happens with Amazon, or any other international book company. Whether TPC will be stored at Amazon here in Australia, I do not know. I hope so, but... when I find out, I'll share that information with you. As far as I know, TPC will not be on bookshelves here in Australia -- or anywhere -- unless I go door-to-door asking if I can put them there. At present, that is not possible for me to do. However... A NOTE TO LOCAL FRIENDS AND FAMILY -- here on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia: Upon my publisher returning from a convention, I will find out what it will cost me to have TPC shipped over (in bulk) from America, then, if it works out cheaper than Amazon, I'll take names and [sorry, but it would have to be] pre-payment of your order, then get a copy to you as soon as possible. At least then you could get a signed copy, and I can hand it to you in person. :D You'll just have to let me know if you want a copy -- or ten. :P ;) Until we meet again... here's a never before seen excerpt from The Path Chosen: Part of a "Dianna of 2015 in 1858" scene:
~*~ ~ The Path Chosen ~ ~*~ When two Sydney-based women are forced to trade places, 157 years apart, the last thing they expect to find is their heart's desire. ~*~ ~ Cover Art by Carol Fiorillo of Carol's Cover Designs ~ ~*~ To say I love this cover is an understatement... 'coz I really love this cover! :) ~*~ ~*~ Blurb ~*~ ~*~ In 2015, Dianna Liddell has it all: An apartment overlooking Sydney Harbour, a successful career, financial independence, and a live-in fiancé with an athletic build and "the world's greatest smile". She couldn't ask for more... until she learns she is pregnant to the man she no longer desires. Anna Endicott is the wife of a clergyman, who, in 1855, sets sail to Australia as a dutiful wife. Three years on, she has lost her country, loved ones, faith in her husband and their God, and confidence in finding happiness. When wishes flow, timelines are crossed and new futures are forged. Places, names, and partners alter, and the values of a foreign society will see celebrated principles questioned. Familiarity fades, expectations are changed, hearts falter, and someone will find themself falling in love. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ Excerpt ~*~ ~*~ Now this intrigued Adam. While all else unnerved him, this he found fascinating. "Oh? If not steam, then what?" From beneath hardened brows, she stared at him. "Electric, of course." Amused, Adam laughed, only to grow temperate upon receiving Dianna's frown. On espying the woman's grave sobriety, bafflement alighted upon his soul. "Electric? As in the telegraph? Surely you jest?" "Do I look like I'm in the mood for stand-up comedy?" Having to speculate over what it was she was referring to, he shook his head. "You do not appear to be in a jovial mood, no." "You got that right. I've obviously entered the twilight zone. This cannot be real." Oh, how he wished it were not. The more this woman spoke the more confused he became. "Where the hell did that light take me? And what caused it? I figured it was from some sort of blast. You know, like from a bomb. Oh, god; was it a terrorist attack?" A what? "The more I think about this the crazier it all seems. Where am I?" Perhaps the asylum was needed after all. "This we have already established." "Right. Sydney. Whatever. What time is it?" She checked her wristwatch as Adam viewed his pocket watch. "11:45 AM." "Correct." She looked at him through lowered lashes. "Monday." "Correct." She studied the face of her wristwatch. "The 20th." "I was of the understanding it is the 19th." Without looking at him, she shook her head. "April." "Correct." "2015." "Good heavens, no." His breath caught somewhere between a hiccup of laughter and a surge of hysteria upon observing the sobriety in her expression. "Dear Lord," he said, watching as she closed her eyes and turned her face from him. "Miss Liddell, please make it known you do not believe you are from the twenty-first century." She nodded, revealing the item she held. It was not a book. She touched its glass face and vibrant images moved across it surface. Bewildered, Adam suffered weakening of the legs. "Anna...?" Anna had been transported to the year 2015? Impossible. Yet... here Dianna Liddell stood, as tangible as his existence, and she was anything but a representation of his world. "What year is it... in your world?" she asked. "Uh..." Faltering without care of suitable speech and manner, Adam scratched his head; his perplex imaginings leaping from impossibilities to the whereabouts of his hat and back again. "It is the year 1858." With what appeared to be a loss of energy, Dianna lowered herself into a sitting position upon a patch of earth and cradled her knees to her chest. Using the hand holding the black item, she pressed a thumb to her lips. "I've travelled back in time?" Adam remained as he was, awaiting reality's return. ~*~ The Path Chosen available April 21 at Desert Breeze Publishing, Inc: "The Path Chosen" Amazon: (Link yet to be released) KOBO: "The Path Chosen" ~ Preorder available prior to April 21 release. ~*~
